THE DINGY DOCK PUB RC OCEAN RACE 2012

date set: APRIL 14TH 2012.......

A 3 nautical mile ocean "distance" race circumnavigating Protection Island.Follow your RC boat with a chase boat. Starting at the world famous floating pub,past the log booms out into Georgia Strait with views of the mainland (18 miles away)and the beautifull coast mountains.Then navigate your way through the "gap",a narrow pass between P.I. and Newcastle Island Marine Park.Finishing back at the "Pub" for prizes,refreshments and great food.Wind shifts,holes,and tidal currents make the RC Ocean race quite possibly the most challenging RC race on the planet.Open to ALL RC sailboats.We are expecting a big fleet this year so Book your volunteer chase boat and driver early.
